Many years ago Joh Bjelke-Petersen the then premier of Qld used to gauge the prosperity of the city on the amount of cranes visible on the skyline. Well if that’s the catalyst for a buoyant economy then Qld must be booming! On a recent inspection for a tax depreciation schedule of a new city high-rise apartment in South Brisbane one can see the many cranes clearly visible from the rooftop.
Is this a sign of a buoyant state or an oversupply of property?
